Scribd, Inc. is seeking an experienced full‑stack engineer to help modernize its core reading experience. You will drive migration from a Rails monolith to a Next.js-based microfrontend, and collaborate with AI/ML, Design and PM teams to launch features that enhance engagement.

You will contribute to a scalable design system, build GraphQL APIs, and improve performance, accessibility, and SEO across Scribd pages. This role requires hybrid in-person collaboration with strong ownership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Experience migrating to Next.js.
• Familiarity with cloud services and service health monitoring.
• Understanding of performance, accessibility, and SEO.
• Collaborative cross-functional mindset.
• Commitment to code quality and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content Pipeline teams to build new features and improvements.
• Create new GraphQL APIs.
• Build new services in Node, Python, Go.
• Collaborate with Design and PM.
• Contribute to a shared design system.
• Improve frontend infrastructure.
