Scribd, Inc. is seeking an experienced full‑stack developer to help modernize our frontend, migrate pieces from Ruby on Rails to Next.js, and build scalable services.

You will partner with Product, Design, and AI/ML teams to create new features that enhance engagement and accessibility across Scribd’s reading experiences. The role emphasizes collaboration across cross‑functional teams, performance, SEO, and a modern cloud‑based stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience migrating Ruby-on-Rails/React monoliths to Next.js.
• Familiarity with cloud services, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Migrate frontend surfaces from a Ruby-on-Rails monolith to a microfrontend.
• Collaborate with Data/ML and Content teams to build features and improve ingestion infrastructure.
• Create new GraphQL APIs.
• Build new services in Node, Python, Go.
• Collaborate with Design and PM to deliver features.
• Contribute to a shared design system.
• Improve frontend infrastructure and performance.
