Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the app team building a secure, scalable platform for government users. You will design, mentor, and contribute hands-on across UI and distributed backend services with a focus on performance and security.

You will guide API architecture, data models, and UI components while leading an AI-enabled development team and ensuring production-grade quality through automated tests and secure deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including prior experience leading engineers.
• Demonstrated ownership of full stack software development from infrastructure to user experience.
• Experience leading an AI-enabled development team, including guardrails and end-to-end testing.
• Full stack proficiency across frontend and backend, spanning architecture decisions.
• Strong frontend skills: React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, responsive design.
• Strong backend: Express.js, Prisma ORM, SQL, indexing, optimization.
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain government security clearance, active Secret or TS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding decisions, code reviews, and documentation.
• Drive full-stack design decisions for API architecture, data models, and UI components.
• Lead AI-enabled development, ensure safe, reliable, production-grade outputs and tests.
• Break down requirements into well-scoped engineering tasks and assign them.
• Build responsive front-end experiences using React and modern libraries.
• Write secure back-end services using Express.js and Prisma ORM.
• Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to ship features quickly.
• Promote automated testing and code quality gates across the stack.
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and ensure IL-6 deployment readiness.
