Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead our app team, spanning frontend (React, TypeScript, CSS, HTML) and backend (Node.js, Express, OpenAPI, relational databases). You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive systems design decisions across the platform.

This role blends leadership, architecture, and hands-on coding for a secure government-focused platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including prior leadership.
• Experience leading AI-enabled development teams with validation and testing.
• Secure SDLC experience and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, guiding technical decisions, conducting code reviews, and establishing best practices and documentation.
• Drive full-stack systems design decisions involving API architecture, data models, and UI component structure.
• Lead an AI-enabled development team, owning the guardrails, validation layers, end-to-end tests, and supporting systems that keep AI-assisted output safe, reliable, and production-grade.
• Break down product and design requirements into clear, workable engineering tasks and distribute them across the team.
• Build intuitive, responsive front-end experiences using React and modern component libraries.
• Write clean, secure back-end services using Express.js, with a focus on REST APIs, modular design, and Prisma ORM.
• Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to launch features quickly and securely.
• Drive rapid prototyping cycles while enforcing production-grade coding standards across the team.
• Champion automated testing and code quality gates by writing and reviewing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and build for IL-6 deployment requirements.
