Job summary

LMI is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the app team, delivering across frontend and backend with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and Prisma. You’ll work with product owners and designers to build a secure, scalable platform for government users, focusing on hands-on coding and software design.

The role requires an active Secret security clearance and emphasizes fast iteration, performance improvements, and reliable API and database work. Remote US-based work is supported.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in full stack software development.
• Experience using AI-enabled development tools to rapidly ship software.
• Strong frontend skills: React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, responsive design.
• Strong backend skills: Express.js, Prisma ORM, relational databases, SQL.
• Experience with testing tools across the stack (Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, Cypress).
• Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab).
• Comfortable with Agile/Lean, rapid delivery cycles, and direct user feedback loops.

Responsibilities

• Write quality software, participate in code reviews, and help develop best practices and documentation.
• Support full-stack systems design decisions involving API architecture, data models, and UI component structure.
• Embrace AI-drive development, building the guardrails, validation layers, end-to-end tests, and supporting systems that keep AI-assisted output safe, reliable, and production-grade.
• Build intuitive, responsive front-end experiences using React and modern component libraries, translating requirements into clean, reusable UI components.
• Write clean, secure back-end services using Express.js, with a focus on REST APIs, modular design, and Prisma ORM.
• Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to launch features quickly and securely.
• Support automated testing and code quality gates by writing and reviewing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and build for IL6 deployment requirements.
