Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to serve as the hands-on technical anchor for our engineering team. You will own architecture, build critical-path features, and mentor engineers across the team while partnering with product and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap.

The role requires extensive experience in Java/Spring Boot, React, microservices, Python API development, and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development with Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, JPA, and related technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices, web services, and REST APIs.
• 5+ years in Agile development environments.
• 3+ years of production-grade Python API development with FastAPI/Flask and AI/ML integration.
• 3+ years with distributed messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ/AWS SQS/SNS.
• 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• 2+ years designing event-driven architectures and asynchronous integrations.
• 2+ years building Python-based data pipelines and AI agent workflows.
• 2+ years deploying services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years with containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands-on technical anchor for the engineering team, owning architecture and critical-path development.
• Translate business goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan while ensuring code quality, security, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.
