Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to act as the hands-on technical anchor for the engineering team. You will own architecture, set technical direction, and mentor engineers across the team while partnering with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate goals into a technical roadmap.

This role emphasizes code quality, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience across Java/Spring Boot, React, microservices, Python API

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years designing and developing scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• 5+ years in Agile environments.
• 3+ years Python API development (FastAPI/Flask) and AI/ML tooling integration.
• 3+ years with distributed messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• 2+ years in a technical lead role.
• 2+ years designing event-driven architectures and async integration.
• 2+ years deploying services on cloud (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo).
• 2+ years with GitHub/GitLab for source management.
• 2+ years with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development for the team.
• Mentor engineers and guide technical direction.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmap and execution plan.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and reliability.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and be hands-on.
