Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to serve as the hands-on technical anchor for our engineering team, owning architecture and critical-path development directly while setting technical direction and mentoring engineers across the team. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development using Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, JPA, and messaging technologies.
• 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• 5+ years in Agile development environments.
• 3+ years developing production-grade Python applications with API development (FastAPI/Flask) and AI/ML framework integration.
• 3+ years with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS).
• 2+ years in a technical lead role and 2+ years designing event-driven architectures.
• 2+ years building Python-based data pipelines, automation scripts, or AI-agent workflows.
• 2+ years deploying/operating services on cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• 2+ years with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo).
• 2+ years with source control (GitHub, GitLab).
• 2+ years with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and critical-path development; mentor engineers.
• Translate business goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan; collaborate with product and architecture teams.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and operational reliability; hands-on design, build, and code review.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable software in a cloud environment.
