Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack for a fully remote role. You will work on government-focused digital services, supporting NASA, GSA, OPM and other agencies, delivering scalable, high-availability solutions.

You will mentor engineers, drive design decisions, and lead integration efforts across services. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and rigorous software engineering practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience developing systems and applications for Federal clients.
Enterprise-level, high-availability application development experience required.
OO design patterns for separation of concerns, code reusability, security and performance.
Cloud computing (AWS/Azure/Cloud Foundry).
CI/CD (Jenkins).
Source control management (Git/GitHub).
Strong database skills (Oracle/SQL Server; SQL/JSON/XML).
Web services and APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON).
Digital accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.1/2.2); accessibility testing tools.

Responsibilities

Owns and contributes to an application code base with accountability and impact.
Coordinates integration with adjacent systems and architectures.
Diagnoses and resolves issues; informs improvements from incidents.
Mentors junior engineers and supports team skill development.
Communicates technical issues clearly to team and clients.
Participates in technical interviews with candidates.
Presents design documents and diagrams to clients and stakeholders.
Leads small, temporary teams or projects when needed.
