Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to own the NBA platform's orchestration and state machine, built in Node.js/TypeScript on Temporal.

You will lead a small team, write code, and be accountable end-to-end for durability, correctness, observability, and timely action delivery across member journeys. You will design and implement durable Temporal workflows, integrate with Adobe Experience Platform and Kafka, and collaborate with decisioning, activation, and platform teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering with 1–2 years in tech lead.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend experience building production services.
• Hands-on with durable workflows using Temporal or comparable.
• Experience designing Kafka producer/consumer patterns in production.
• Ability to lead a small pod and deliver end-to-end architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end orchestration pod delivery and quality.
• Design durable Temporal workflows modeling member action lifecycle.
• Implement Transactional Outbox patterns and idempotent delivery.
• Coordinate activation to Adobe Experience Platform and Kafka outputs.
• Contribute code alongside team on Temporal, Node.js, and Kafka.
• Lead pod, reviews, and cross-team collaboration.
