MO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs, modernizing eligibility and enrollment systems for millions of veterans and families. The role emphasizes Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST/SOAP services, and enterprise backend development across microservices in a remote environment.

You'll collaborate with architects and senior engineers on modernization initiatives, write robust SQL, contribute to CI/CD, and mentor junior developers while delivering scalable,

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands on experience with Java development.
• Hands on experience with Spring Framework and/or Spring Boot.
• Develop REST and SOAP web services.
• Experience with Oracle or other relational databases.
• Experience using Git-based source control.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
• Analyze and resolve complex software defects and production issues.
• Support enhancements and sustainment activities for applications utilizing Java, Spring Framework, Struts, JSP, EJB, JMS, WebLogic, Hibernate, Oracle, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with architects and senior developers on modernization initiatives.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database integrations.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD processes, and application deployments.
