Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an experienced Software Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of dealer enterprise platform solutions. You will build scalable full‑stack applications, APIs, and cloud services while improving platform reliability and performance.

You will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, business, and operations, and drive best practices for code quality, deployments, and responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, including designing, building, and delivering enterprise applications and scalable platform solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot for backend development and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Familiarity with build and deploy mechanisms, CI/CD pipelines, and a disciplined version control approach.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Build scalable APIs, backend services, and microservice architecture that enable seamless communication between enterprise platform, connected systems, and cloud applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver iterative product enhancement, validate solutions quickly, and continuously improve platform capabilities.
• Drive architecture decisions, code quality standards, and be best practice across full-stack development, system integration, and cloud-based platform.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Collaborate across engineering, business and operations teams to ensure reliable deployment, continuous improvement, and successful delivery of high-impact software solutions.
