Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications across the full technology stack. You will mentor juniors, collaborate with product teams, and deliver high-quality software for front-end and back-end systems.

The role requires depth in frontend frameworks (JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React) and backend tech (e.g., Java, Python, .NET) with RESTful APIs and microservices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and/or React, and Frontend State Management).
• Strong proficiency in back-end technologies (e.g., C++< Node.js, Java, Python, C#/.NET).
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Deploy and manage applications on Tomcat and IIS web/application servers
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both client-side and server-side applications
• Architect scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions in collaboration with technical leads
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and mockups into responsive, high-performing front-end interfaces
• Design and optimize database schemas (SQL and/or NoSQL) for performance and scalability
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices and continuous learning
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and system design decisions
• Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and infrastructure as code
