Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications across the full stack. You will craft front-end interfaces with modern JS frameworks and robust back-end services, APIs, and databases.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers and designers, and contribute to architecture, testing, and DevOps practices in a hybrid on-site role in Michigan. A bachelor's in CS or related field and 5+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in full stack software development.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and/or React).
• Strong proficiency in back-end technologies (C++, Node.js, Java, Python, C#/.NET).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with RESTful design, microservices, Git, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain client-side and server-side code.
• Architect scalable, secure software with leads.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Collaborate with UX/UI to translate wireframes into responsive interfaces.
• Design and optimize SQL/NoSQL database schemas.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor juniors.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliability.
• Contribute to documentation and architecture decisions.
• Work in Agile/Scrum; support DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
