Job summary

Sift is seeking a senior software engineer to own a product area for the Sift Agents platform. You will work with customers to define workflows, ship agent capabilities, and scale agented systems across frontend and backend components.

You will design tool interfaces, memory management, and evaluation suites, while collaborating on models and orchestration for cloud and on-prem deployments. This role emphasizes ownership and customer-facing impact.

Qualifications

• Have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Own a product area: talk to customers, decide what to build, ship it.
• Have built frontend web apps with React/NextJS or similar.
• Have built APIs or backend services with Go, Python, Rust or similar.

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers and partner with product to turn real review workflows into agent capabilities: generating dashboards, writing analysis scripts, and surfacing insights buried in their telemetry.
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems that reason over large-scale time-series data and hardware domain context.
• Build everything around the model that makes agents dependable: tool interfaces, sandboxed execution, context and memory management, and guardrails.
• Develop and maintain Sift’s MCP server to query telemetry directly for agents and customers’ AI tools.
• Work across the whole stack to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
• Build frontend surfaces where Sift Agents live and ensure a great user experience.
• Design and implement APIs powering agentic capabilities and run agents reliably at scale (cloud and on-prem).
• Create evaluation suites to measure quality, latency, cost, and failure modes in production.
• Integrate frontier models across providers.
