Job summary

Sift is building a data infrastructure platform for hardware teams. We’re seeking a product engineering role where you’ll own features end-to-end, from talking to customers to shipping agent capabilities that analyze telemetry and drive dashboards.

You’ll design and operate agentic systems, scale workloads on Kubernetes, and integrate frontier models. This role blends software engineering, product ownership, and deep interaction with customers in a hybrid, on-site setting in California.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Own a product area by talking to customers and shipping features.
• Experience building APIs (REST, gRPC) and backend services (Go/Python/Rust).
• Working knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Curious about AI products and evaluating new agents and models.

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers and partner with product to define agent features.
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems handling large-scale time-series data.
• Build tool interfaces and sandboxed execution for agent-generated code.
• Develop scalable Kubernetes-based execution and orchestration for agents.
• Define APIs powering agent capabilities and integrate frontier models.
