Job summary

Sift, a data infrastructure platform for hardware teams, seeks a product engineer to own agent-based products and scale frontend/backend systems. You will interact with customers, decide what to build, and shepherd features from MVP to production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Own a product area: talk to customers, decide what to build, and ship it.
• Experience building frontend web apps (React/NextJS) or APIs/backend (Go/Python/Rust).

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers and partner with product to turn real review workflows into agent capabilities: generating dashboards, writing analysis scripts, and surfacing insights buried in telemetry
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems that reason over large-scale time-series data and hardware domain context
• Build tools for agents: interfaces, sandboxed execution for agent-generated code, context/memory management, and guardrails
• Develop and maintain Sift’s MCP server to let agents and customers query telemetry
• Work across the whole stack and build frontend surfaces for Sift Agents
• Design and implement APIs powering agentic capabilities
• Run agents reliably at scale in cloud and on-prem
• Build evaluation suites to measure quality, latency, cost, and failures; instrument production observability
• Integrate frontier models across providers
