Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager at the Spokane Valley Fulfillment Center in WA. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality, and performance while aligning with business plans.

The role requires 7+ years of direct management experience in manufacturing or distribution, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and strong skills in staffing, metrics, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

• Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean initiatives to meet business plan.
• Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measure performance and provide feedback.
• Leverage Operations and Area Managers by sourcing ideas and creating improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments, shifts and network.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers to secure resources for projects.
