Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager for its Fulfillment Center in the Tracy area.

The role oversees budget, people development, and operations objectives, guiding a team of Operations and Area Managers to meet performance targets and build leadership depth. Responsibilities include leading Lean initiatives, ensuring safety and quality, setting expectations, and coordinating with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure resources for projects and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience leading a contingent workforce during peak seasons is desirable.
• Interest in long-term career development across multiple FCs.

Responsibilities

• Drives Lean and quality initiatives to meet/exceed business plan.
• Oversees safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound/Outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies expectations for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance.
• Leverages team ideas to create improvement plans and share best practices across departments.
• Collaborates with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers for resources.
• Mentors and coaches staff to ensure performance objectives are met.
