Job summary

Amazon in Riverside, CA is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead site-wide operations, safety, quality and customer experience for inbound or outbound activities. You will coach and develop a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and align resources with strategic objectives.

You will work with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and IT to secure support, improving processes and bench strength across the Fulfillment Center.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
7+ years direct management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
Experience with the full staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination.
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.

Responsibilities

Drives quality initiatives, process change initiatives and Lean to meet/exceed business plan.
Oversees safety, quality, performance and customer experience for Inbound/Outbound operations.
Sets/clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and accountability.
Leverages Ops/Area Managers to create improvement plans and share best practices across departments.
Partners with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects and initiatives.
