Job summary

Amazon in Riverside, CA seeks a Senior Operations Manager to lead site operations, budget, people development, and performance targets within the Fulfillment Center. You will coach and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure safety, quality, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years direct management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle: interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, termination.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Drives quality and Lean initiatives to meet/exceed the business plan.
• Oversees safety, quality, performance, and customer experience for inbound/outbound operations.
• Sets and clarifies requirements for Operations and Area Managers; measures performance and accountability.
• Leverages staff for improvement plans and shares best practices across departments.
• Works with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT to secure resources for projects.
