Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced cashier team and ensure exceptional customer service. You will mentor staff, assist with daily operations, and uphold security and accuracy at the registers.

The role requires leadership ability, reliability, and strong math and communication skills. This on-site position offers a path for growth within a friendly, community-focused grocery environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must interact positively with customers and serve as a role model in behavior.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks at registers.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies, and uphold restroom and parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain exit door visibility for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and manage disciplinary actions.
