Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a fast-paced cashier team and support store operations. You will ensure excellent customer service, assist with register issues, and help manage staffing and performance.

The role requires 1–2 years of cashiering with leadership training, a flexible schedule, and strong math and communication skills. This position offers competitive pay and benefits in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required and 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Proficient in cash handling, numbers, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with store operations.
• Visit registers to provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies and restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility for security and loss prevention at exits.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks per policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and disciplinary actions when needed.
