Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer to design, verify, and deploy FPGA systems for space-grade hardware. You will work through HDL levels, manage multiple clock domains, and collaborate with customers and the executive team.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of FPGA experience, strong Verilog/VHDL skills, and hands-on lab instrument proficiency, with excellent written and verbal communication to support proposals and reviews.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 6 years of FPGA design/HDL experience.
• Expertise in FPGA design and verification (Verilog/VHDL, HDL coder, Vivado, ModelSim).
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, and vector signal analyzers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own FPGA circuits and systems through all phases of the development process.
• Perform testing, validation, and verification at the HDL level; work with high-speed interfaces and multiple clocks.
• Present engineering design reviews to customers and the executive team; participate in proposal-writing efforts.
