Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. You will support transportation initiatives, forecast and analyze variances, and build board materials to drive profitable growth.

You will liaise between Finance and Transportation, enhance ship margin analysis, and collaborate with the FP&A team on forecasting and ad-hoc projects. This role reports to the FP&A Manager and requires strong Excel, Power BI, SQL and NetSuite/SmartView skills, with a hybrid schedule at

Qualifications

• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation required.
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or another related field.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with PowerPoint for presentations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial concepts.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to report on weekly performance related to Transportation and provide outlook on ship costs and margin.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and identify risks & opportunities.
• Develop models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives and support the annual operating plan.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board.
