Job summary

ShipBob is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a fast-paced finance team focusing on transportation initiatives, forecasting, variance analysis, and board materials. You will partner with FP&A and the Transportation team to enhance ship margin analysis, reporting, and forecasting, while contributing to strategic projects.

The role reports to the FP&A Manager and requires strong Excel skills, financial modeling, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related degree.
• 3PL or relevant experience in Transportation.
• 3-5 years of FP&A or related experience.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Chicago office.
• Excellent financial modeling skills and understanding of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough analysis on transportation initiatives each month and communicate key performance drivers and variances to plan to senior management.
• Collaborate with partners to strategize and report on weekly performance related to Transportation and provide outlook on ship costs and margins.
• Manage relationships with Transportation team to build bottoms up forecasts and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support development and implementation of models and processes for new strategic transportation initiatives.
• Prepare the annual operating plan with Transportation team and convert to the financial budget.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting presentations for investors and the board.
