Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on productionizing data and AI solutions using the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires engineering excellence, strong communication, and a passion for delivering measurable outcomes with enterprise clients. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of multiple Cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark internals.

Responsibilities

• Lead production‑grade data and AI projects on the Databricks platform.
• Guide strategic customers through end‑to‑end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs.
