Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to lead production-grade data and AI solutions for customers. You will own architecture, guide design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, ML/AI, and application development.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer teams, delivering scalable, secure, and high-impact implementations. Travel up to 20% may be required, and Databricks Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• CI/CD for production deployments; knowledge of MLOps and AI models.
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures combining pipelines and ML/AI models.
• Experience with enterprise clients and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade customer projects, building reference architectures and data pipelines.
• Guide end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Own architecture decisions, ensuring security and scalability.
• Embed with customer teams, manage scope and timelines for measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to deliver value and provide feedback.
