Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers on data & AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP) and at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing, Apache Spark, and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments and MLOps concepts.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable technical solutions.
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery including architecture, design, and reference implementations.
• Drive end-to-end data & AI projects, integrating data pipelines, ML models, and applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Guide customers on architecture decisions, ensuring secure and scalable solutions.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
• Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices for scale across accounts.
