Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to own architecture, design decisions, and end-to-end data/AI solution delivery for customers.

You will work hands-on, embedding with client teams to build scalable reference architectures and production-grade integrations of data pipelines and ML models. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in data engineering or software, strong coding skills (Python/Scala/JS-TS), and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with at least two cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure or GCP) and Spark runtime internals.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions by delivering architectures, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects from end-to-end design to deployment.
• Embed with customer teams and translate complex concepts into actionable technical work.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to deliver on customer needs.
