Job summary

Databricks in the United States is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to own architecture and lead design decisions for data, AI, and application solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will work hands-on with customers, embedding with teams to deliver production-grade systems, reference architectures, and end-to-end data pipelines, ML models, and user interfaces, while ensuring security and scalability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and at least one in depth.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiar with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps and ML/AI models.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data architectures and apps combining pipelines, ML models, and UI.
• Experience with technical project delivery, scope, timelines, outcomes.
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience with enterprise clients and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel 20%.
