Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, owning architecture and delivering end-to-end data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will lead design decisions, guide deployments, and ensure secure, scalable architectures while working with cross-functional teams and customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of production end-to-end data architectures and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead production‑grade solution delivery for customer projects.
• Guide strategic customers through end‑to‑end design, build and deployment of big data and AI apps.
• Bootstrap or implement customer projects ensuring successful adoption of Databricks.
• Own architecture decisions ensuring secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver engagement components.
• Provide feedback to product and support to resolve issues quickly.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Create accelerators, frameworks, and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
