Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking an accomplished Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff to translate the Talkdesk Agentic AI platform into enterprise-grade deployments. You will lead technical delivery, architect complex AI agent systems, and drive successful outcomes with global customers.

You will mentor junior staff, influence product direction, and partner with executives to ensure secure, scalable solutions in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of progressive software or solution engineering experience with at least 1 year deploying AI/ML solutions.
• Experience leading large IT integration or AI implementation projects, including client-side leadership.
• Strong end-to-end AI system architecture for multi-agent solutions with planning and memory.
• Proficiency in Javascript, Python, Typescript and writing secure, scalable production code.
• Deep expertise in APIs, webhooks and messaging for secure data flow.

Responsibilities

• Technical Project Leadership & Architecture: lead complex deployments and design enterprise-grade AI agent solutions.
• Hands-on engineering & delivery: write production-grade code and deploy AI agents via Talkdesk and 3rd-party APIs/SDKs.
• Technical Consultation & Alignment: address deep technical inquiries and mitigate risk with customer teams.
• Influence Product & Engineering Roadmap: translate deployment learnings into reusable patterns and tooling.
• Technical Guidance: mentor junior engineers on AI architecture and client-facing delivery.
