Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, Staff to lead AI agent deployments for enterprise customers. You will own the technical execution, design complex architectures, and drive production deployments while ensuring security and scale.

You will mentor others, influence product direction, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to customer engineering leaders during high-stakes engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6–10 years in software/solution engineering with 1+ year focused on AI/Agentic deployments.
• Project implementation consulting experience in large-scale IT integration projects or AI implementations.
• Strong experience in Agentic AI System Architecture and end-to-end implementation of multi-agent systems.
• Proficiency in Javascript, Python, Typescript and producing secure, scalable production code.
• Deep expertise in APIs, webhooks, and data architecture for secure, compliant data flow.
• Experience with prompt engineering and model optimization for multi-agent collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for complex deployments; design architecture for AI agent solutions.
• Write production-grade code and leverage Talkdesk APIs/SDKs to deploy agents.
• Serve as trusted technical expert; address inquiries and mitigate deployment risk with customer teams.
• Synthesize deployment learnings into reusable patterns and influence product roadmaps.
• Mentor junior engineers on AI architecture and client-facing delivery.
