Job summary

EY is seeking a qualified professional for the Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice in the United States. The role focuses on managing compliance and grant/stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG‑DR) for government clients and large-scale disaster recovery projects across multiple states and localities.

You will collaborate with engagement teams, lead project development interactions, and ensure programmatic requirements are met while traveling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business, emergency management or related field.
• 2+ years of related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery and/or emergency management experience.
• Achieved, or working toward a professional designation such as CPA, CEM, or CFE.
• Effective organization and time-management skills and ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the EY office and client sites; a driver’s license is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with management and compliance of disaster recovery funding.
• Manage large projects for states and local governments; lead interactions with local governments to support project development.
• Verify compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements; monitor federally funded projects.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence, will be required.
