Job summary

EY is seeking a government and public sector-focused professional to support disaster recovery funding management and compliance services across FEMA and HUD programs. You will work with engagement teams on complex projects for state and local governments, ensuring regulatory alignment and effective delivery.

Travel to client sites is anticipated, with in-office presence expected as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, plus CPA/CEM/CFE or equivalent, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business, emergency management or related field.
• 2+ years of related compliance, audit, financial management, disaster recovery or emergency management experience.
• Professional designation such as CPA, CEM or CFE is preferred.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed.
• Access to reliable transportation to EY offices and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients with disaster recovery funding management and compliance services (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Manage large projects for states and local governments and coordinate with local governments to support project development.
• Verify compliance aspects and participate in monitoring federally funded projects.
