Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Forensic Mental Health Clinician/Court Evaluator to bridge clinical care with civil legal processes under ITA in Washington. You will conduct clinical assessments, navigate DSM criteria, prepare ITA petitions, and testify as an expert in hearings, while coordinating with treatment teams and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in relevant field and licenses (LMHC/LSW/LCSW/psychologist) and has at least two years of acute mental health

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in acute mental healthcare in inpatient, outpatient or legal settings.
• Washington Mental Health Counselor License or Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License or Washington Psychologist License

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical evaluations of ITA patients and assess DSM criteria.
• Prepare legal petitions for ITA hearings (14/90/180 days) and represent Providence Swedish as an expert witness.
• Document in EMR, process court orders, and liaise with ITA stakeholders across disciplines.
