Job summary

Providence Swedish Edmonds is seeking a Forensic Mental Health Clinician/Court Evaluator to bridge mental health treatment and the involuntary treatment process. You will conduct clinical evaluations, navigate DSM criteria, and prepare ITA petitions, serving as an expert witness in ITA hearings.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Doctoral level in relevant field; licensure as a mental health professional is required.
• Licensing: Washington Mental Health Counselor License or Washington Clinical Independent Social Worker License or Washington Psychologist License as applicable.
• Experience: at least 2 years of acute mental healthcare experience in inpatient, outpatient, or legal settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments for ITA patients and evaluate DSM criteria and treatment modalities.
• Prepare legal petitions for ITA hearings (14/90/180-day timelines) and participate as an expert witness in ITA proceedings.
• Document findings in the EMR and liaise with treatment teams and ITA stakeholders to support care planning and legal processes.
