Providence Swedish is seeking a licensed mental health professional to conduct clinical evaluations for ITA patients and prepare petitions for hearings. You will serve as an expert witness in ITA proceedings and document care in the EMR, coordinating with court orders and staff across disciplines.

The role requires WA licensure, a strong understanding of RCW 71.05/71.34 and DSM criteria, plus experience in acute mental health care and civil legal matters.

Qualifikationen

• Requires Master’s or PhD in relevant field and licensure in WA.
• 2 years of experience in acute mental healthcare in inpatient, outpatient, or legal settings.
• Knowledge of RCW 71.05, RCW 71.34, and the WAC.
• Knowledge of DSM criteria and treatment modalities.
• Ability to navigate the Washington ITA.
• Understanding of pharmacological approaches and medical/legal parameters.

Aufgaben

• Conduct clinical evaluations of identified ITA patients.
• Prepare legal petitions for ITA hearings at 14-, 90-, and 180-day intervals.
• Represent Providence Swedish in ITA proceedings as an expert and witness.
• Document in the EMR.
• Process court orders and related paperwork.
• Educate staff across disciplines on ITA laws and regulations.
• Liaise with Snohomish and King County ITA stakeholders.
• Engage treatment team in care planning and court preparation.
• Provide forensic expertise at the intersection of mental health and civil legal matters.
