Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC, a global consulting firm, seeks a Senior Forensic Engineer to lead testifying and expert support on civil cases, including construction defect litigation matters. You will mentor consultants, help recruit and develop talent, and drive client satisfaction across the Forensic practice.

You will manage performance, guide practice growth, and ensure quality deliverables while upholding the company’s core values and commitment to learning and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience or a Master's degree and 12 years of related experience, with 7+ years in a leadership role with significant impact.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensed is required, with multiple states preferred.
• Previous deposition and testimony experience is required.
• Proven track record of customer relationship management and staff management and development.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support MD in meeting or exceeding defined annual budget for the practice area.
• Support development of new accounts and expand existing engagements to achieve sales goals.
• Delegate assignments to reports, monitor progress, ensure high-quality work.
• Monitor utilization, Accounts Receivable, and discretionary spending.
• Develop relationships with decision makers and cross-sell services.
• Meet or exceed defined utilization and revenue targets as set by leadership.
