Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Food Service Associate to support meal assembly, service and delivery within the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services areas. You will work under the Food Services Manager to ensure safe, sanitary and timely food service delivery to patients and staff.

The role requires at least 3 years of skilled food preparation or service, English literacy, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Minimum 3 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
• Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Food Service Associate performs a variety of food service tasks in meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation and safety, and assists in training of new Food Service Workers.
