Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Food Service Associate to perform a variety of food service tasks within the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services, including meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation and safety, and assisting in training new Food Service Workers.

Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the role requires at least 3 years of skilled food preparation/service experience, the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and English

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
• Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform meal assembly, service and delivery.
• Assist in catering and event setups.
• Handle dishwashing and sanitation tasks.
• Assist in training of new Food Service Workers.
