Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Senior Food Service Associate to support kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services. You will perform meal assembly, service, delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation and safety tasks, and assist in training new staff.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in skilled food service, strong English literacy, and the ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays in an on-site hospital setting with a focus on safe practices and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
• Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of food service tasks in meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation and safety.
• Assists in training of new Food Service Workers.
