Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine seeks a Senior Food Service Associate to support meal assembly, service and delivery across the kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services. You will help maintain sanitation, safety and quality while collaborating with food service staff to deliver meals to patients and visitors.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of skilled food prep or service experience, be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
• Knowledge and practice of kitchen sanitary control techniques.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout food service areas.
• Assist in training of new Food Service Workers.
