Job summary

UCI Health, part of the University of California, Irvine, seeks a Senior Food Service Associate to perform meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, dishwashing, sanitation, and safety tasks. The role supports training of new Food Service Workers in a dynamic food service environment.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of skilled food service experience and be able to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong English reading and writing skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior skilled food preparation/service experience.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Meal assembly, service and delivery, catering, and dishwashing.
• Sanitation and safety in kitchen areas.
• Assisting in training of new Food Service Workers.
• Support across kitchen, cafeteria, dishroom and patient services as needed.
