Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences is seeking a Chemist III in Crete, IL to perform advanced instrumental analyses on food, beverage and nutraceutical products, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role includes troubleshooting, project ownership, and mentoring junior chemists in analytical testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced chemistry knowledge to perform analyses and interpret data.
• Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and GMP guidelines is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced instrumental analyses on food, beverage, and nutraceutical products.
• Maintain instruments and perform minor repairs; schedule service as needed.
• Lead specialized projects and mentor junior chemists and technicians.
• Provide accurate data reporting and client communication.
