Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES Crete Analytical Laboratory in Crete, IL seeks a Chemist 2* to perform chemical analyses on food or pharmaceutical samples and ensure accurate results. You will prepare samples, run analyses with HPLC, GC, ICPMS, and related instruments, and report findings with attention to method requirements.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a basic chemistry background, and an associates degree (bachelor’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelors preferred.
• Two - five years experience.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology is helpful for testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis on food or pharmaceutical samples.
• Analyze and interpret data, report results per method requirements.
• Operate instrumentation (GC, LC, ICPMS, HPLC, GC, ICPMS) for concentration determinations.
• Prepare samples, standards and reagents, and maintain instruments and lab equipment.
