Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences Dietary Supplement Testing North America seeks a Chemist III in Crete, IL to perform advanced instrumental analyses on nutraceutical products, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will troubleshoot, own projects, and mentor junior chemists while supporting method development and validation across the lab.

The role requires strong expertise in GCMS, LCMS, HPLC, and related software, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and teamwork in a regulated testing

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge in chromatography, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and instrument-based analyses.
• Experience leading complex analyses and mentoring junior chemists.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and GLP/GMP practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate advanced instrumental analyses on foods and nutraceutical products to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot, own projects, and mentor junior staff in analytical testing procedures.
• Lead installation and validation of new equipment and optimize laboratory methods.
• Read, record, and report data; communicate issues to client services as needed.
• Collaborate with R&D, QA, and operations on product development and process improvement.
