Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Fluids Systems Engineer III for the Lunar Permanence team to advance the MK1 lunar landers and related products. You will collaborate with propulsion and fluids teams to develop, analyze, and integrate subsystems across the vehicle lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in fluids/aerospace, strong leadership, and clear communication. Experience with valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, and cryogenic/hydrogen systems is valued; travel to multiple sites may occur.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, or aerospace systems.
• Proven ability to lead cross functional teams and drive multi subsystem integration.
• Experience with fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators, pumps, instrumentation).

Responsibilities

• Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystems with minimal oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion IPT.
• Lead subsystem trade studies from concept through approval and implementation.
• Tackle trade studies, design/integration, 1st order analysis, and test support.
• Ensure timely updates of subsystem architecture diagrams and schematics.
• Integrate fluids and propulsion with overall vehicle design, software, and operations.
• Support component and subsystem test development and execution.
