Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a senior engineer to lead fluids sub-assembly design for the helium subsystem on a Lunar Vehicle. You will size, select materials, create P&IDs in AutoCAD, and drive procurement and installation efforts.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 8+ years in aerospace fluid systems, with CAD experience (Creo) and GD&T proficiency. U.S. citizenship or residency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is required.
• 8+ years of proven experience in aerospace fluid or mechanical systems design.
• Experience with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred).
• Knowledge of gas systems and interface definitions between fluid systems and subsystems.
• Proficiency with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fluids sub-assembly design and development including procurement of components and CAD modeling.
• Design and specification creation for fluid/gas components (valves, manifolds, regulators, instrumentation).
• Develop and maintain interface definitions between fluid systems and subsystems.
• Design and analyze custom components for fluid, thermal, and structural applications.
• Perform component verification to company standards and support procurement/ fabrication.
